The Committee found Misconduct proved in relation to all parts of the allegation.
The Committee was satisfied to the required standard that the conduct of the Registrant called into question his suitability to remain on the Register. The Committee concluded, on the basis of its finding of fact, that the Registrant was in breach of 5.7, 3.2, 3.5 and 5.8 of the GSCC Codes of Practice (‘the Codes’).
In respect of paragraph 5.7 of the Codes, the Committee was satisfied of the Registrant’s failure to disclose his knowledge of the illegal sexual relationship between a colleague and K, a child, put K at unnecessary risk.

An experienced social worker from Birmingham has been struck off after she failed to declare she had been convicted of theft.
The General Social Care Council (GSCC) also accepted an allegation that Verona Reeves threatened her landlords and the couple's children.
A GSCC conduct committee said Reeves' behaviour amounted to misconduct and said "such a grave case" necessitated her removal from the professional register.

The reasons for the Committee’s decision are as follows:
1. The basis of the case brought against the Registrant was that he had behaved inappropriately towards three women who were attending a five day course for Approved Social Workers (ASW) that was held at an Exeter hotel between 16 and 20 April 2007, that he had made disclosures about service users whilst in the bar at the hotel, this being a place to which the public could have had access, and that he had
